Adding New ChordsTo add a new chord to your project, you need to first select a group in the project tree on the left. For example, in the figure below you could click on the group "Minor_Chords" or "Major_Chords". You could also click on the very top group "Simple Project".
Chord Display TitleBy default chords are named automatically for you and this field is disabled. If however you wish to name the chord yourself, you need to uncheck the option below called "Name chord automatically". When you do this, the Chord Display Title field will become enabled. When you enter a chord name, you may need to enter special symbols, such as flats, sharps, diminished, augmented and a triangle. At any time you can position the cursor where you want the special symbol, and click the button below to add the symbol. In the chord's name you will see a code for that symbol. When the chord is rendered, this code will be replaced with the required symbol. Naming Properties and TuningBy default, a chord's tuning will come from the group above. This means that you don't have to set a special tuning for each chord in a group. However, you may wish to assign a tuning just to this chord, and so you can do this by clicking the "Add" button. If there already is a special tuning assigned, you can click "Edit" to change the tuning. And finally, if you want to remove the special tuning, and revert back to the tuning applied to the whole group, click "Remove". You can see which tuning is applied to this chord at any time by clicking "View". This will bring up the tuning editor, but will be disabled unless a special tuning is set for this chord. Click here for help on using the Tuning Editor.
