Rendering Your Project

To render your project out to image files and/or a website, select the "Render Project" option in the "Render" menu. The following window will appear:

Folder for Rendered Files

This is the folder where the chord images, midi files and HTML pages will be written to. Click the button next to the field to browse to a folder on your system.

Style Selection

To just use one style for the entire project, select the item "Select one style for everything", and then choose the profile from the drop-down list.

If you select "For each group, use the style that has been assigned to it", FrettyCharts will check every group for its assigned style and apply it just to that group.

An example might be to render chords using vertical image orientation, and scales using horizontal. Or coloring chords brown and scales blue. The HTML pages that are generated will be colored accordingly.

HTML Web Page Generation

If you just want to render the images, select the item "Only render image files". Otherwise a folder called "html" will appear in your selected render path above. The website files will be written there.

There are numerous settings and customizations for the HTML generation. The most common settings are accessed by clicking the "Design Basic Website Layout" button, which will take you to the HTML Layout Editor.

For people wanting to get inside the finer details of the generated web content, click the "Design CSS/HTML code" button. Details of this more advanced editor are found here.

To begin rendering, click the "Start" button and the process will begin.
