Styles - Barres

The "Barres" tab in the style editor lets you choose from a range of barre chord styles.

Barre Style

There are 3 barre chord styles, as shown in the following examples:

1. Arc

2. Arc behind the nut

3. Line

NOTE: For #2, Arc behind the nut, the barre will be moved back into the chord neck if there is a clash between the barre and O/X symbols.

Round Barre Ends

This option allows you to apply a rounded ending to the barre line. For the styles where the barre does not have a note covering the end of the barre line, this can help smooth out the image. The above example "Arc behind the nut" illustrates a rounded barre ending.

Barre Notes to Display

This allows you to describe which notes to display along the barre line. "Only voiced barre notes" means that note circles will appear only for those barre notes that are sounded. For example, in the first example above the two notes fretted outside of the barre are masking the barred frets underneath.

"Only barre ends" means that only the first and last notes of the barre will have circles painted. Example #3 above shows this.

"All notes" means that all notes in the barre will be circled.

Barre Line Thickness

This value sets the number of pixels across the width of the barre line.
