Styles - Colors

The colors tab in the style editor lets you set colors for each separate item in a chord or scale image.  For each item in shown, there is an edit button marked with the ellipses (...), and a colored box showing you its current color.

To see some examples of different colors being used, take a look at the sample gallery.

Image Transparency

When the image type is set to PNG in the General settings tab, the image transparency feature becomes active. This is because the PNG format supports the ability to set a transparent background color in an image.

If you set the slider value to 0%, the image background color will be completely transparent, meaning that for example on a website, the colors or imagery underneath the image will show through. If you set this slider to 100%, the background color of the image will appear exactly as you set it above with the "Image background color" setting, completely opaque. This feature is useful for web designers who do not want to have to match their image background colors to those on their website. It also means that you can change the look of the website, without having to re-render your chord/scale images to match background colors.
