Styles - Display  Items

The Display Items tab contains a miscellaneous set of settings for chords and scales.

Show Chord Title

Use this option to enable/disable painting of the chord/scale's name in the image. Sometimes it is preferable to add the image titles in separately by hand, for example when compiling a Microsoft Word document full of images that someone else might edit later.

Chord Title Position

This option allows you to position the chord title at the top or bottom of the rendered image.

Chord Title Alignment

Determines where the title will be positioned in the image. The first setting will center the title with respect to the width of the image. The second setting will center the title with respect to the guitar neck's horizontal extent. The final option is probably the best one, which positions the title at the left-most position of the guitar neck.

Show Note Fingerings

Allows you to quickly enable/disable painting of the fingering text on fretted notes. For example, a style that creates very small images would want to disable this setting, as the fingering text would not be readable anyway.

Show Nut

This option allows you to enable/disable painting of the nut in the guitar neck. This is handy for creating generic chord/scale diagrams where the position of the chord on the neck is not relevant. For example, you might create a group of "Generic Minor Chord Shapes".

Root Note Highlight

You can highlight the root note in chords automatically with this setting. FrettyCharts will figure out the root note and apply the type of highlight requested. You can also disable this feature here.
